wOOL

Pure wool, Scottish wool, smells wonderful, knits like a dream and provides unparalleled warmth.  It's rain resistant due to its natural oils.  It shoudl be washed in pleasantly warm water with a light shampoo or delicate wool liquid, and left to dry flat in shape. My felted wools have been boil washed several times already, so you don't need to worry about them at all, though I should warn you that some shrinkage/distortion of fabric may occur if you do boil it up again!  A regular wash should always be fine.

DIVINITY PASHMINA

I studied Religion and Anthropology at the University of Edinburgh; a fascinating course I would recommend to anyone!  As a homage to my tutors and fellow students, I wanted to contribute a proud versatile item, more wearable than the school tie!

I was inspired to design a pashmina in the school colours on my graduation in these 3 styles, check, diagonal and celtic knot.

These samples were woven with fine pure wool, by hand in a cooperative independent weavers village in India.  However I will be knitting up these designs at my studio in Edinburgh!

They are double sided, light and warm; an easy peice to wear as a wrap, doubled as a scarf or head and shoulder covering, a handy thing to have at your dispoal in the changeable Scottish climate!

Please contact me if you would like to order a Divinity School Colours Pashmina!
